A characterful, reclaimed, Victorian oak door, now suitable for use as a garden gate. The door has a Gothic style appearance with an arched top and decorative metal studs. The door has vertical oak cover strips. The door was made solidly with mortise and tenon joints and it is very heavy. The door has fantastic Gothic style hand made iron door straps and strap hinges with fleur-de-lys detailing. The back face of the door has a very old iron handle and a slide bolt. There is a lock but please note there is no key and it will need to be replaced.

The door is old and has weathering and some damage commensurate with age and therefore the door is now suitable for use as a garden gate and not for use as a front door. The door is solid overall but it has damage to the base due to weathering and some rot. The base has softness, flaking, cracks and chips and some oak has broken away. The door has some green over the surface from weathering and there are some cracks and splits in the wood. There are some holes and marks left from hardware removal. The oak has some residue paint and marks. The door hardware has tarnish and surface rust. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has an abundance of Victorian Gothic character and it would make a fantastic feature garden gate.

Width 90.3cm (903mm)

Height to top of arch 201cm  (2010mm) approx

Pleaser note: measurements are approximate due to wear to the door.
