A very interesting and attractive slate topped table with old oak frame. The table has been made using an antique oak church table frame which has had a ply base applied for the slate top to sit on and then a reclaimed oak border to match the base added. The table has an elegant design with slim tapered legs. The table top is easy to maintain and if scratched the slate can be oiled. The table would make a wonderful statement in a home and could also be used as an interesting and fashionable chalk board surface for children and cleaned off with a damp cloth. The table frame is made from old oak and therefore has some slight signs of use and age. The oak has some slight knocks, scratches and marks. The slate top has some light scratches but the top can be oiled, reducing the marks. The table has a fantastic rustic look with more modern looking top, making it suited to both a period property or modern / industrial style space. A very attractive and desirable item.
