A very desirable, unique, industrial style desk / shop display / storage unit made using reclaimed industrial steel drawers with a beautiful oak top. The reclaimed metal units have been stripped, burnished and lacquered giving an attractive industrial style silver finish. Each unit has 50 drawers for the storage of small fastenings, fittings, stationary or hobby items. There are small clips for naming labels that are on each drawer pull handle. The oak top rests on top of the metal units with a space for a chair in-between the two. The top has been made using solid oak board that has been sanded and sealed and fitted with a metal trim. The oak has a beautiful colour, highlighting the natural grain of the wood. The desk / display unit is of a great size for display or for home working and is heavy and well constructed. Please note the oak top is not attached but sits well on top of the drawer units. All drawers are free running. The metal drawers and metal trim around the oak are reclaimed and therefore have some character signs of use. There are some light scratches, marks and knocks. The metal of the units and the reclaimed trim have some tarnish and slight surface rust. The oak top has natural wood knots and small splits. The desk is a unique piece that is both useful and stylish and has wonderful character, making it a fantastic show piece for home or business.
