An attractive Victorian pine blanket box / storage trunk. The box has been well constructed using pine planks and has cast iron hinges and corner straps. The box has handles on either end and a metal key escutcheon but please note the box has no key. The wood has an attractive colour and grain and has been waxed. The box is a reclaimed antique and therefore has some character wear and signs of age. There are some small holes, marks and scratches and there are some further scratches on the top of the box on the left hand side. The box has had some wood slithers added to some gaps in the pine planks. Some surface rust can be seen on the iron fittings. The box has a charming vintage appearance and is of a very good size. Ideal for storing blankets or larger items, the box would suit a rustic interior and is a well made and quality item.
