SOLD

Two vintage, maritime, reclaimed port and starboard metal hanging ships lights / lanterns. The lights are made by nautical light maker Playmit and have the design numbers AP1720 and P432-1260 on the base and the top of the lights. The lights are believed to date to 1975 approx. The lights have a fantastic industrial appearance and have heavy wingnuts on each side holding the top closed. The port light has a red glass tube that goes around the bulb and the starboard is clear. The lights have not been tested and we believe there is a sealed battery housed within the body of the light, although new batteries will be required. There is a metal button on each, presumably to turn the light on and off. PLEASE NOTE we cannot accept responsibility for the battery or wiring of the lights and therefore they MUST be checked by a qualified electrician and they can advise on making the lights safe, changing the battery or perhaps converting to electrical lights BEFORE USE. The lights have a thick hook so they can be hung from the ceiling and they would make fantastic décor items in a maritime / nautical style space. The lights are in good condition but do have some character signs of use and age, as expected of vintage items. The lights have some knocks and marks and some chipping to the paint, adding to the industrial feel. There is some light tarnish and some small areas of slight surface rust. Port light is missing the bulb and new bulbs will be required. Please see pictures for condition details. The lights have a great industrial / maritime look and are well made and interesting reclaimed items.

Main body of each light 16.8cm x 15.5cm
