A stunning, reclaimed, antique carpenters work bench, likely to date to the late Victorian period or early 20th Century. The work bench is Swedish made and the bench has an integrated vice at the front with a quality wooden vice screw and large beech handle and a further handle to one side. The bench has several holes along the front for metal holding pegs to sit (pegs not included). The bench top is predominantly beech with some patched areas of pine and a recessed pine tray for storage. The removeable top sits on a sturdy pine base. The wood has been cleaned and a wax applied, giving it a deep colour that highlights the natural wood grain and character patina. The work bench is in solid condition with character signs of use and attractive rustic patina. There are deep cut marks, chips and knocks from use. There is colour variation and staining. The bench has some surface cracks, holes and uneven areas. The vice screw has some knocks and chips to the wood. Please see pictures for condition details. The bench has a wonderful vintage, rustic appearance and is in fully useable condition. The work bench is the perfect item for a home workshop or for carpenter or could be used as an interesting and characterful feature in a home.
