A handsome, original 1930's, 14 drawer office cabinet / storage unit. The unit comprises of an oak frame with tulip wood (or similar) drawer fronts. The storage unit has 14 drawers, each with a metal label holder, and they are numbered, although 2 labels are missing. The drawers open freely and each has a side scoop, perhaps for making the removal of paperwork easier. The storage unit did originally have a tambour front but this is now missing, leaving a track groove in each side and a small dip near the base where the tambour hardware sat. The unit is in very good condition with some small signs of age as expected. There are some small scratches, scuffs and some staining to the wood. The top has lifted slightly on one side leaving a small gap between the top and the body of the drawer unit. Three drawers have replacement bottoms. The inner drawer sides have some writing on them. The thin side trim is missing on the right hand side at the top of the unit. We can probably replace the trim for a small extra charge, please contact us for details. Please see pictures for condition details. The storage unit is a real feature item for a home office or business, with a very stylish vintage look and has a good deal of space for storage, making it a very useful item.
