A reclaimed, oak, captains swivel chair, by maker Hillcrest, dating to C.1930. The chair is in nice condition with a studded dark leather seat and a deep colour to the attractive oak. The swivel chair is in full working order and it has an adjusting screw and spring at the front. The chair retains its original castors, although please note that the front two castors have been cut so they are flat at the base, presumably to ensure it wouldn't roll or to give the previous owner a more comfortable position for sitting. The chair has the makers name stamped into the metal at the top of the legs and a small makers plaque.
The chair is in good condition with some character signs of age. The oak has some scratches, marks and small knocks. The leather seat has some thin surface cracks giving nice character. Please see pictures for condition details. The chair has a fantastic vintage appearance and is finely made. Ideal for a home office or for becoming an interesting decor item, the chair has a great deal of character.
