A set of three very old, large, reclaimed oak beams, all with similar measurements. The beams are very old, possibly Georgian as they had very old hand made nails in them. The beams have a fantastic rustic appearance that shows their considerable age and they have interesting characteristics and wear, as expected of reclaimed items. The beams have some unevenness as expected. We have buffed one end of each beam to show what look could be achieved if you buffed them (see pictures 5-8 for details). As expected of reclaimed antique items the beams have some signs of wear and character signs of age. The beams have some splits and surface cracks but are solid and stable. The are some notches, small holes, knocks, natural wear and weathering. The wood has some texture. Some cut marks can be seen and there are some cut out tabs at the ends from previous use. There is some evidence of now dead woodworm in places. The beams have some colour variation. Some old nails and some newer screws are still present. Please see pictures for condition details. The beams are very useful and ideal for a project.
