M1740 A RECLAIMED BRASS LEFT HAND RIM LOCK, KEEP AND HANDLES C 1925-30

Code: M1740

SOLD

A reclaimed left hand brass rim lock, receiver and handles dating to C.1925-1930. The rim lock has a very nice appearance and the brass has been polished and has a high shine finish. The lock is in working order and is left hand sided when you open the door towards you. Please note, the lock does not have a key but a locksmith might be able to make you one, should you require it. The lock has a brass keep that appears to have been made from another matching rim lock. The lock is paired with brass handles, bar and all screws needed. The bar for handles can be set up for a 3.4cm thick door. It may be possible to accommodate a thinner door by making an extra hole in the bar. The lock is in very good reclaimed condition with some small signs of age, as expected. There are some light scratches, pitting and marks. The handle bar has some tarnish and surface rust but it will not be seen. The back has some tarnish and residue paint. Please see pictures for condition details. The lock is a lovely item for adding period character to a door.
