Code: M1969
Dimensions:
A very characterful, reclaimed, oak box lock with key, for some restoration. The antique box lock appears to have been handmade and has an oak cover with decorative metalwork on either side featuring arrows and clubs. The metal receiver for the dead bolt has the same club decoration. The lock comes with its large metal key that does turn the dead bolt but it is quite stiff and sometimes doesn't engage properly. The lock has the large screws for attaching the lock. The lock is in need of restoration and has some signs of age and wear. The key, screws and receiver have surface rust. The oak has some splintering, scratches and cracks. The back of the lock has some holes in the oak. The decorative metalwork is lifting in places and one corner has some missing metal where it has broken away. Please see pictures for condition details. The lock is a very nice characterful item and would make a great feature once restored.
