An pretty Edwardian painted pine door with glazed panels, suitable for interior use. The door is solid and well made with mortise and tenon joints. The lower part of the door has 3 recessed panels and the upper panels, with a shaped top, have been fitted with beautiful stained glass. The glass has a lovely pattern in bright green, blue, yellow and red. Originally used as a front door, the pine was stripped and it is holding some caustic. The pine cannot be painted due to the caustic and therefore is now suited for interior use only. The door does still have a weather strip and this can possibly be removed, please call us to discuss. Hardware is required, to be supplied by purchaser. The door is solid and well made but there are signs of wear and age, as expected of antique items. There is some discolouration to the pine from stripping. Some small holes, marks and knocks can be seen. There are some surface splits in the wood that do not affect the structural integrity of the door. The door has had some patch repairs. Some of the glass putty has worn away. The weather strip has some knocks. The glass is intact. The door height and width may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has an elegant appearance and is well made, illustrating quality Edwardian design, and it will make a lovely feature inside a home.
