A very handsome Edwardian Arts and Crafts oak front door with stained glass panel. The door is solid and heavy and has been very well made using mortise and tenon joints. The door has an attractive appearance with an arched top panel fitted with small textured stained glass pieces with diamond shaped leadwork in the Arts and Crafts style. The front face of the door has vertical raised mouldings with iron studs that have been stripped and re-sprayed. The door has a shelf under the stained glass panel and there is a space for a letterbox. There is an oak drip bar at the base of the door. The oak has been stripped to bare wood and is ready for finishing by purchaser with an exterior wax or varnish. The door is in good solid condition but has some slight signs of use and wear due to age. One stained glass piece has a crack. We can replace the cracked piece of glass for an extra £30, please let us know if you would like this service. There are some slight stains and marks left after cleaning. The door has some holes and marks where hardware has been removed. We can patch repair holes for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. The door has some small knocks and chips and there is some residue filler. The height may need slight leveling. The door is of a good size, thick and heavy and has an abundance of character, making it ideal for a period house or cottage.
