A handsome Edwardian oak front door. The door is reclaimed and has an association with the Military College at Newhaven. The oak has been stripped to bare wood and has a lovely colour and grain. The door is solid, heavy and well made with mortise and tenon joints. The door has an Arts and Crafts feel with arched decoration and a shelf below the glazing panels, made using decorative mouldings. The top of the door has attractive panels with an arched top, ready for glazing. We can glaze the door for an EXTRA CHARGE, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. Door furniture will need to be supplied by purchaser. The door is ready for finishing by purchaser with an exterior paint, wax or oil to suit. The door is reclaimed and therefore has some signs of wear and age. There are some stains, scuffs, marks and dark scratches. Some holes and marks can be seen where door furniture has been removed. We can patch repair holes for an extra charge, please contact us for details. There are some slight knocks to the edges and corners. There are some knocks to the edges of the decorative mouldings. A small hole can be seen on one of the mouldings around a glazing panel. The door is solid and well made and is a fantastic example of Edwardian design. The door is very desirable and would add great character to a home.
