An attractive and unusual reclaimed Arts and Crafts internal door. The door comprises of a thick pine core with a mahogany face applied to one side and worn baize on the other. The mahogany face has a stylish appearance with 8 flat faced panels with bolection moulding. There is a small escutcheon on the mahogany face, please note the door has no key. The other side of the door has been fitted with baize and a ply baton. The baize is now worn and ripped and will need replacing. The door is very thick and solid. The door is suited for internal use and may perhaps be ideal for a cupboard or wardrobe. The door is a reclaimed item and therefore has some signs of wear. There are some holes and marks where door hardware has been removed. Some slight knocks, scratches and chips. The baize has rips and stains and will need refinishing and this side has some wear. There is some tarnish to the metal escutcheon. The front face of the door has a very attractive appearance and is solid and well made. An ideal door for adding character and period charm to a home.
Please note: We have several doors with a similar design, some of which have differing wooden faces. Please see our other listings for details.
