Code: DI0886
Dimensions:
A rustic, reclaimed, arched pine door suitable for internal use or perhaps for use as a garden gate. The door, likely to date to the early 20th Century, has a nice design with an arched top and two large panels for glazing. We can glaze the door for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The panels may not need glazing if you are going to use the door as a garden gate or garden feature. The door has two panels at the base, flush on one face and recessed on the other face. The base of the door has a drip bar, on the front face. The door has been painted in a pale green and there is "staff only" painted on the front face. The paint has flaking and chipping and you may wish to sand and refinish the door to suit.
The door is rustic in appearance due to age and wear, and has some damage, as expected of reclaimed antique items. The joints are slightly weak. The top of the door has had an in-fil of wood added to repair damage. One of the hinge slot areas has had a wood in-fil. The door has some holes, marks and indentations from hardware removal. Some holes have old filler in them. There are knocks, chips and splintering to the wood. There is some loose beading around the panels. The panels have been repaired and there are now two pieces of wood in each but please note the dividing line between the wood is in a different place on each panel. Please see pictures for condition details. The door would be nice for internal use or to make a great feature for a garden or interesting gate and has a good rustic, period appearance with great character.
