A set of 10 beautiful, reclaimed, antique Art Nouveau fire tiles. The stunning tiles are a vibrant dark green colour with a pretty design, typical of the era, that runs down the tiles. The tiles were designed for a fireplace and 5 were set in to each side and the pattern was replicated on both sides. The tiles have a large bow at the top, a large decorative oval in the centre tile and delicate flowers and circles that run down each set of 5. The tiles have a high shine glaze and the colour is still very bright. The tiles date to C.1900 and have been made in England, with each tile having "England" on the back. The tiles have no breaks or cracks and are in good antique condition with some signs of age, as expected. There is some crazing to the tile glaze. The tiles have some very small knocks to the edges and some small stains and very slight chipping to the design in a few places. There is some residue concrete on the back of some of the tiles. Please see pictures for details. The tiles can be used within a cast iron fire again or could be used for an interior project. The tiles have a fantastic period design and are very desireable.
