A set of pretty, reclaimed, antique fire tiles likely to date to C.1910. The set comprises of 14 tiles, 6 large and 8 thinner tiles. The tiles are designed to sit on either side of a tiled fire insert, with 3 larger tiles and 4 thinner tiles on each side. The larger tiles are green with raised designs featuring a pretty pink flower in the centre and smaller flowers in the corners in pink and yellow decorative designs. The thinner tiles are darker pink/red and white. The tiles are original antiques and have some signs of age and some damage. One tile sustained a large break and has been repaired using glue. The crack can be seen. There are some knocks and chips to the tiles, especially the edges and corners. The tile glaze has crazing and cracking. There are some stains and smoke residue and the backs of the tiles have smoke marks. Please see pictures for condition details. The tiles have a very pretty period design and would be perfect for adding character to a cast iron tiled fire or could be used to add character and charm to a home project.
