A set of very nice, reclaimed, Edwardian fire tiles. The set comprises of 10 tiles of the same chequered design. Each tile has two dark green squares and two with a lilac and green design, typical of the era, on a white / cream background. The backs of the tiles state that they were made in England. The tiles are designed to sit with 5 on either side of a cast iron tiled fire, but could be used for other interior design projects. The tiles are in useable condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected of reclaimed antiques. The tile glaze has some crazing and there are some scratches, scuffs and marks in areas. There are some small knocks and chips to the edges and the paint. The back of the tiles have some staining. Please see pictures for condition details. The tiles have a very pretty period design and would be perfect for adding character to a cast iron tiled fire or to add character and charm to a home.
