An elegant, reclaimed, reproduction cast iron fire register / fire basket by Gallery. The register is a reproduction of period designs and has a pretty appearance with an arch topped fire back with sun motif, flowers on either side of the curved front bars and an urn finial on either side. The front feet have scrolling detail. The register has been sprayed with a heatproof black paint and this has a matt finish. We can black and polish the fire to achieve a shinier finish for an extra charge, if required. Please contact us for details and a quote. The fire register is in good reclaimed with some signs of use and wear, as expected. There are some casting marks and pitting, especially to the fire back. There are some patches of surface rust, mainly visible on the fire back. The grill has some tarnish. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire register has a very nice period style appearance and it would make a lovely feature in a fireplace.
