A very heavy and solid, reclaimed, cast iron fire basket. The fire basket has an attractive traditional design with spiked ends to the legs and the front has decorative scrolled finials. The burning area is of a good, deep size and is perfect for a smaller hearth or for decoration in a bedroom. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a nice finish. The basket is in good useable condition but has some small signs of wear and age. There are some very small knocks and casting marks and some slight discolouration and light surface rust to the inside of the basket. The back of the basket has a slight bend inwards. The basket has a great traditional look that would suit a cottage or period property. The basket is very well made and solid and is a desirable item.
