An attractive reclaimed cast iron fire basket with forge made fire dogs. The basket has an integrated fire back with a diamond design. The fire basket has scroll finials and a wide area for burning. The basket is paired with two tall, forge made, fire dogs. The fire dogs are of a very good quality and have scrolled finials, to match the basket, barley twist design and semi-circular feet. The basket, back and fire dogs have been blacked and polished and have a high quality finish. The fire basket is in very good, solid and useable condition with only slight signs of use. There are some very small marks and scratches and there is some surface rust to the underside of the grill and back of the fire. The basket and fire dogs have an elegant appearance that would suit both modern or period homes and are well made and have great style.
