A very pretty, petite, reclaimed reproduction cast iron fire basket with integrated fire back. The fire basket has a Victorian style appearance with decorative feet, brass urn finials at the top of the legs and lovely swag and bow designs on the ash pan cover and the fire back. The basket has an ash pan and tool for removing the ash pan when full. The burning area is of a nice size and is perfect for a smaller hearth or for decoration in a bedroom. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a nice finish. The basket is in very good, usable, condition but has some small signs of use and age and a small amount of damage. There are some small knocks and casting marks and some slight discoloration and light surface rust to grill from use. The top of the fire back has a gap where some of the iron is missing. There is some surface rust to the ash pan and tool. The basket has a fantastic decorative look that would suit a cottage, period or modern property.
