A reclaimed cast iron reeded fireback. The fireback is very heavy and solid and ideal for pairing with a cast iron fire basket in a fireplace. The fire back has a nice design with reeded detailing and a plain band at the base. The front has been sprayed with black heatproof paint. The fireback is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of age and wear. There are some knocks and scratches to the cast iron and some casting marks. The back and sides have surface rust, as expected. There is some slight concrete residue in some of the reeding and some paint drips. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire back has a simple and attractive design that would suit a period or modern home and is of a nice quality.
