An attractive, reclaimed, cast iron fire basket, fire back and fire dogs. The basket is traditional in design with spiked finials on each side and two large hooks on each side that slot over a pair of fire dogs. The fire dogs have cast iron legs, brass coloured front and feet and brass decorative finials. The fire basket has slots at the back for the heavy cast iron fire back to sit into. The fire back is in good condition and has a pretty design with a shaped top and fleur-de-lys in the centre. There is a small K on the top right hand side. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a good finish. The basket is in nice reclaimed condition, with some small signs of use. The iron has some small knocks and casting marks. The brass coloured sections have some tarnish and scratches and the brass finials have some tarnish. The reverse of the fire back has some surface rust, as expected. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire basket is well made and has a very nice look, ideal for adding character to a fireplace.
