Dimensions:
A large, decorative, reclaimed cast iron fire register / fire basket. The register has a very nice design with column style legs and decorative finials. There is sweeping ironwork between the grill and the legs, with delicate fretwork below it featuring leaves and flowers. The register has a plain back and the grill is of a good size for burning. The iron has been blacked and polished and it has a nice finish. The fire register is reclaimed and has some slight signs of use and wear. The iron has some small knocks and scratches. There is some pitting and casting marks. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire register has a beautiful appearance and it would make a lovely feature in a large fireplace.
