A reclaimed cast iron swans nest fire basket paired with large cast iron fire dogs. The basket has a simple and traditional design with a dipped "swans nest" basket and a simple front bar. The sides of the basket fit on to the iron arms of the fire dogs. The basket is paired with large, decorative, traditional style fire dogs with arched feet and basket style finials. The front of the fire dogs have several solid hooks for attaching the two heavy iron bars with ball finials at each end. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a good finish. The basket and fire dogs are reclaimed and therefore have some signs of use and wear. The cast iron of the dogs and basket have some casting marks and some pitting. The basket finials at the top of the fire dogs are slightly loose and tilt a little. The basket has some small patches of surface rust. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire basket and dogs have a very nice traditional appearance and they will add great character to a fireplace.
