A very pretty, cast iron, Art Nouveau combination fireplace, C. 1915, ideal for a bedroom or smaller reception room. The fire has a pretty arched fire opening with a decorative flower design, typical of the era. The main body of the fire has an Art Nouveau poppy design. The fire has solid front bars and original smoke flap. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a rich colour and nice finish. The fire is in good, useable, condition but does have some slight damage and signs of wear consistent with age. There are some slight areas of surface rust, mainly to the mantel top. One mantel fixing screw has not been tightened. There is some slight damage to the iron in the grill area, near one edge of the concrete fire back. The other side has some residue paint or a repair, please see pictures for details. Some small knocks, marks and scratches can be seen. The fire back has surface rust as expected. The fire has a very pretty, classic, design that would suit many types of property. A fine example of Art Nouveau design.
