A very pretty, cast iron, Art Nouveau combination fireplace with a very attractive design. The fire is of a good size and would be suitable for a bedroom or living room. The fire has a very pretty domed smoke hood with linear detailing and leaf design. The cross bar and legs have cast flowers, in a design typical of the era. The fire opening has a moulded border and the fire has the original, shaped, front bars. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a rich colour and nice finish. The fire is in very good, useable, condition but does have some slight damage and signs of wear consistent with age. One fixing lug has broken away from the fire and there is some damage to the side, please see pictures for details. For an extra £25 we could add a steel angle iron bracket to act as a fixing lug. The fire has some small casting marks, tarnish and scratches, especially to the mantel. There is a small casting line on the cross bar by the decorative design. The concrete back has some small chips but is in very good condition. The back has surface rust as expected. Suitable for most rooms and ideal for a period or modern property, the fire is a very pretty and desirable item. A fine example of Art Nouveau design.
