A very elegant and pretty, reclaimed, Victorian combination fire, C1890s. The fire is very well made with a lovely design and is of the ideal size for a reception room or larger bedroom. The fire has an ornate smoke hood, in the "Brighton Pavilion" style, and the legs have an attractive column design. There is dentil moulding under the mantel and fern designs at the top of the legs. The fire retains its original front bars and fire brick. The fire has been blacked and polished and has a nice finish.

The fire is in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of wear and some repaired damage, as expected of antique items. The fire has a fixing lug on one side, under the mantel but the right hand fixing lug (when looking at the fire) was broken and it has been replaced with a metal fixing tab. A small repair has been carried out to strengthen the area where the break occurred (see last picture for details). The iron has some casting marks and pitting, especially to the mantel and crossbar. The fire brick has some wear and it has a rough surface and some chips out of it. The fire has some surface rust to the back, as expected. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire is a very pretty example of Victorian design and it would add great period character to a fireplace.
