A very pretty, cast iron, original Edwardian Art Nouveau combination fireplace with a classic design. The fire is of a good size and would be suitable for a bedroom or smaller reception room. The fire has a very pretty domed smoke hood with beaded detailing. Under the mantel there is a very pretty, delicate, motif with a design typical of the Art Nouveau era. The fire has the original decorative front bars. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a rich colour and nice finish. The fire is in very good, useable, condition but does have some slight signs of wear, consistent with age. The back has surface rust as expected. Some slight surface rust under the front bars. Some small marks, scratches and casting marks and a scratch to the right cheek. Some chips to the edge of the fire brick can be seen. The fixing lugs are present and intact. Ideal for a period or modern property, due to its simple yet classic design, the fire is a very pretty and desirable item. A fine example of Art Nouveau design.
