A very attractive large Art Nouveau tiled combination fire. The fire is cast iron with very pretty green, pink and cream tiles depicting Art Nouveau flowers on each side of the fire opening. The fire has a beautiful design with Adam style swags and shield. The legs have decorative column detailing and the fire has the original Art Nouveau front bars. One of the main features of the fire is the beautiful domed smoke hood that opens out to accommodate large quantities of smoke. The fire has both fixing lugs present. The fire is large and heavy and would be ideal for a living or dining room. The cast iron has been blacked and polished and has a high quality finish. The fire is in very good condition but has some slight signs of wear and age. The back has surface rust as expected and some small scratches and casting marks can be seen on the front face. The tiles are in good condition but there is some crazing, slight cracks and some very small black marks from smoke. The concrete fire back has a crack and there are some slight cracks to the fire cheeks. The fire has a wonderful appearance, highlighting the best of Art Nouveau design. The fire is ideal for a period property and has elegance and charm.
PLEASE NOTE: The fire is VERY HEAVY and is collection ONLY. Please ensure you have a suitable vehicle for collection and the fire will require 2-3 people to move the item safely.
