A very decorative large Victorian tiled combination fire. The fire is cast iron with attractive blue tiles on each side of the fire opening. The fire has a beautiful design with Adam style swags and bows. One of the main features of the fire is the beautiful domed, Brighton Pavilion style, smoke hood that is surrounded by pretty bow and flower detailing. The fire has all four fixing lugs present and has retained its original, shaped, front bars. There is possibly a registered dating number on the back of the fire but it is very faint and hard to read. The fire is large and heavy and would be ideal for a living or dining room. The cast iron has been blacked and polished and has a high quality finish. The fire is in good solid condition but has some slight signs of wear and age. The tile enamel has crazing. There is a crack in one tile and another tile has a small chip. The concrete fire back has some cracks. Some light scratches and marks can be seen. There is some light surface rust to the fire grill and the back has surface rust as expected. The fire has a wonderful appearance, highlighting the best of Victorian design. The fire is ideal for a period property and has elegance and charm.
