An elegant, classic style, Edwardian cast iron combination fireplace of an ideal size for a bedroom or smaller reception room. The fire has an attractive canopy smoke hood with an oval motif design. The fire has plain borders around the opening and there are small delicate crosses running down the legs and under the mantel. The fire has retained its original decorative front bars and fixing lugs. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a lovely finish. The fire is in good antique condition with some light signs of use and wear. The back has surface rust as expected. The fire has some small casting marks and scratches. The smoke flap is a replacement and is slightly small, leaving a small gap between the fire and smoke flap, but this could be replaced by purchaser if desired. Suitable for a bedroom and ideal for a period property, the fire is a very pretty and desirable item. A fine example of Edwardian design.
