Dimensions:
An original antique reclaimed cast iron combination fireplace. The fire is of an ideal size for a living room or bedroom and has a very pretty design. The back has a registered design number although it is very hard to read but the fire is likely to be late Victorian. The fire features a decorative canopy smoke hood with scrolls and patterns. The crossbar has leaves in the corners and in a pretty arch. The legs are column style with fluted detailing. The fire has shaped front bars and the 2 fixing lugs are present. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a lovely finish. The fire is in good condition but has some signs of age and use, as expected of antique items. The back has surface rust. There are some casting marks, knocks and pitting and some small scratches. The concrete fire back has some small chips and cracks. There is a small gap at the back of the fire where the back meets the fire front and around the smoke flap. The fire has an interesting and attractive design that would add fantastic character to a home.
