A very pretty reclaimed Neo-Georgian cast iron bedroom combination fire, likely to date to C.1900. The fire has a beautiful appearance with a domed smoke hood and original decorative front bars. The cross bar has delicate flowers forming swags and a wreath and there is a pretty motif on the smoke hood. There are two lugs under the mantel for fixing the fire to the wall and two lugs on the back edge of the mantel. The fire is the perfect size for decorative use in a bedroom. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a fantastic finish. The model number of the fire is cast in to the back. The fire is in good reclaimed condition but has some slight signs of use and some repaired damage, as expected of antique items. The back has some surface rust. The front of the fire has some light scratches and marks. There is slight tarnish and surface rust to the underside of the grill. The mantel has sustained some damage that has been repaired to a high standard but a fine crack can be seen. The iron has some slight pitting. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire is a lovely example of Neo-Georgian design and would be perfect for adding period character to a home.
