An elegant, reclaimed, Edwardian cast iron combination fire. The fire has an ornate period design with repeating designs along the crossbar, column style fluted legs and a rose motif on the decorative smoke hood. The fire retains its shaped front bars and top plate. The mantel has moulded front and side edges and there is a fixing lug on either side, under the mantel. The fire has been restored with a blacked and polished finish. The fire is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of use and wear, as expected of antique items. There are some casting marks and pitting and the back edge of the mantel has a visible raised line. The iron has some marks and knocks. The back of the fire has surface rust. The fire brick has some chips. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire is of the ideal size for a reception room or larger bedroom and has a very nice period design, adding character and charm to a fireplace.
