An unusual and rare, reclaimed, enamelled cast iron bedroom combination fire dating to the 1930's. The fire has a great Art Deco appearance, typical of the period, with Art Deco detailing below the mantel and vertical linear border around the fire opening. The fire has retained the original ash pan cover, fire stool, fire back and kerb hearth. The front of the fire has been enamelled with a pale green colour with darker green flecks, a design that was favoured during the Art Deco period. The back of the fire has a registered design number, RD779127, dating the fire to 1932. The fire is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of age and use, as expected. The enamel has some knocks, especially to the mantel edges. There are some patches of surface rust, to the ash pan cover, around the base of the fire where the ash pan cover sits and hearth especially. The back of the fire has surface rust, as expected. The clay fire back has some small knocks and the fire stool has some surface cracks. The back edge of the mantel is missing some enamel. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire is the perfect size for a bedroom and is ideal for a 1930's property and has a fantastic Art Deco design.
