Dimensions:
A decorative, reclaimed, reproduction cast iron combination fire. The large fire is a good quality reproduction of period designs and has an ornate appearance with a flower and leaves in the corners, under the mantel. There are fluted designs under the mantel and a shaped panel. The fire has a thin smoke hood with cut-out detail and there is a reeded border around the fire opening. The mantel has stepped detailing around the sides and front edge. The fire retains its front bars and smoke flap and there is a fixing lug on either side, under the mantel, for attaching the fire to the wall. The iron has been blacked and polished and it has a good finish. The fire is in good reclaimed condition with some small signs of wear, as expected. There are some small knocks and scratches and some casting marks. The fire brick has some knocks and some larger chips to the top corners, leaving some small gaps that can be seen. The back of the fire has some surface rust, as expected. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire has a very nice appearance and is of a good size for a living or dining room. The fire is the ideal item for adding character to a fireplace.
