A pretty, reclaimed, Neo-Georgian cast iron combination fire, likely to date to C.1900-1910. The fire has an elegant design with bows and flowers running down the legs and flowers and a decorative motif on the crossbar. The ornate smoke hood has fan style detailing. The fire retains its fire brick, grill and shaped front bars. The fire has been blacked and polished and the iron has a nice finish. There are two fixing lugs, one on either side under the mantel, for fixing the fire to the wall. The fire is in good condition with some small signs of age, as expected of reclaimed antiques. The fire brick has a crack but it is stable. The iron has some casting marks and pitting. The front edge of the mantel had some small holes that have now been filled. The mantel screws do not sit totally flush with the mantel. The back of the fire has some surface rust, as expected. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire has a very pretty design and it would make a fantastic period feature for a fireplace.
