Dimensions:
A very pretty Victorian cast iron bedroom fire insert. The insert has a decorative arched design around the fire opening with leaves and beads, typical of the era. The insert has the original curved front bars and the ash pan cover and top plate are present. The top plate has a decorative motif. The iron has been blacked and polished. The insert is a reclaimed antique and therefore has some signs of wear and age. The fire insert is in very good condition but there are some scratches and casting marks. The right hand top corner has some chips and knocks. The back has surface rust as expected and the concrete fire back has some marks. The fire has been photographed with a reclaimed pine fire surround which is also available for sale. The surround reference is FS0058 and the price for the insert and surround is £445.
