A classic style cast iron fire insert, ready for fire tiles (fire surround sold separately). The fire insert is a reclaimed reproduction of a 1920's design and has an elegant and timeless look. The fire has an attractive smoke hood, front bars and ash pan cover. The metal back is intact. The fire opening has a simple border design and the iron has been blacked and polished. The back has the words "Gallery" cast into it. The fire insert has open sides ready to accommodate fire tiles and has metal support bars at the back to keep the tiles in place. We have sets of fire tiles available, with reclaimed modern and Victorian designs. Tile prices start from £95 per set, please check our other listings or contact us for details. The fire is in very good condition but has some slight signs of wear as expected of reclaimed items. There are some very slight knocks and scratches and the back has some surface rust. The fire has a simple and classic look that can be adapted to a modern or antique style with the addition of tiles. The fire is usable and attractive and is the ideal size for a living or dining room.
