Dimensions:
A large reclaimed cast iron fire insert. The insert has an arch with pretty repeating border pattern in the Victorian style. The insert has an inner arch with a thin border. The fire has retained its curved front bars and top plate and the concrete fire back is intact and has little sign of use. The iron has been blacked and polished. The insert is perfect for pairing with a fire surround. We have photographed the insert with a pine fire surround for illustrative purposes. Please note the surround is NOT included and it is available for sale separately, please see our reference FS0176 for details. The cast iron insert is in good reclaimed condition with some small signs of use and wear. The surface of the insert has some scratching and marks. There are some visible casting marks and scratches. The concrete fire brick has some indentations. The insert has some small knocks and there is some surface rust to the back as expected. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire insert has a nice, traditional style appearance and is of a good quality and would be ideal for a period or modern home.
