A reclaimed, reproduction, cast iron arched fire insert made by Gallery. The fire insert is a reproduction of Victorian designs and has a pretty design with a large arch with decorative borders. The insert has shaped front bars with decorative finials. The fire insert has an integrated fire back and a top plate with diamond design. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a nice finish.
The fire insert is in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of use and wear. The iron has some small casting marks and pitting and there are some small scratches. The front bars have been bolted on and are now not removeable. There is a slight gap between the front bars and the body of the fire in places. The back has some surface rust, as expected. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire has a very nice period look and will be ideal for adding character to a fireplace.
