A classic style cast iron Edwardian fire front / fireplace. The fire front is designed to be paired with a concrete fire back and fire stool or small fire basket and the fire front sits around a fire opening. The fire has an attractive and classic design with a rounded crossbar under the mantel. The fire opening is surrounded by borders and there is a plaque style design with delicate flower motif. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a lovely finish and the four fixing lugs are present. The fire front is in good antique condition, however there is some slight damage and signs of wear due to age. There is a deep crack under the mantel although the fire is solid and usable, please see pictures for details. There are some slight scratches and small casting marks and holes. The mantel screws are not totally flush with the mantel. The back has some surface rust as expected. The fire front is very pretty and could be used for decorative purposes in a bedroom. The fire front is a lovely example of Edwardian design and its pretty and classic style would make it ideal for a period home.
