FS0012 A Decorative Neo-Georgian Design Cast Iron Fire Surround

Description:
A decorative reclaimed cast iron fireplace surround with a classic design and heavy mantel. The surround has a wide crossbar with decorative castings, featuring Adam style swags, bows and a central medallion. The fire features a decorative rope border. The fire surround is reclaimed but in very good condition and has been blacked and polished, giving a rich colour and quality finish. There are some slight casting marks and light signs of wear. The left fixing lug (when looking at the fire) has been repaired due to a break, but this isn't very noticeable. The mantel has replacement bolts and the back has surface rust as would be expected from the age of the surround.
Inside width 715mm, inside height 800mm.  A lovely item that would add classic style to a period home.
