Dimensions:
A very fine quality Art Deco stone fire surround dating to C.1930. The cast surround is light in colour with shell detailing within the stone. The fire has a classic and simple appearance with a carved border around the fire opening that ends with arrowhead detailing on each side. The top edge has some slight detailing with a slight cut out on each side. The fire is complete and in good condition with some slight signs of use, as expected of reclaimed antiques. The fire has some small knocks and chips. The feet have some marks, chips and slight reside cement from where it was previously fitted. Some small scratches and stains from smoke can be seen. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround is a very elegant item that would add great period charm to a home and paired with a fire basket it would complete a hearth.
