Dimensions:
A large reclaimed Edwardian cast iron fire surround. The fire has a simple and classic design with fine mouldings around the fire opening. The centre of the crossbar has a shield design. The fire has been blacked and polished and has very fine finish. The surround is of a perfect size for a living or dining room and can be paired with a wood burner or be used for decorative purposes. The fire is a reclaimed antique and has some slight wear and a small amount of repaired damage. The back has surface rust as expected. Some small scratches and casting marks. The inside edge of the feet have some uneven, rough, edges where they have perhaps been cut to fit a hearth. One lug has been replaced and there is a slim scoop where the original lug was broken. There are some small knocks to the mantel edges. The fire surround has a classic style that would be suited to both period and modern properties and is a great item for adding character and charm to a home.
