A large reclaimed Edwardian cast iron fire surround. The fire has a pretty design, typical of the era, with a ribbon, flower and wheat circle. The fire opening has a plain moulded border. The fire has been blacked and polished and has a very fine finish. The fire has a fixing lug on each side, under the mantel, and two at the back of the mantel that fit into the wall. The surround is of a perfect size for a living or dining room and can be paired with a wood burner or be used for decorative purposes. The fire is a reclaimed antique and has some slight wear and signs of age. The back has surface rust as expected. There is some pitting, scratches and casting marks. The mantel screws sit slightly proud of the mantel. The fire surround has a classic and pretty style that would be suited to both period and modern properties and is a great item for adding character and charm to a home.
