A very pretty, petite, reclaimed Victorian cast iron fire surround. The fire has an ornate Adam style design, typical of the era, with swags along the crossbar and large urns with flowers at the base of the legs. There is a plain border around the fire opening. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a very fine finish. The surround is ideal for pairing with a fire basket or used for decorative purposes. The original mantel was damaged and has been replaced with a very well made steel mantel that compliments the surround very nicely. The fire is in very good condition but has some slight signs of use, as expected of antique items. The iron has some casting marks, scratches and knocks. The back has surface rust. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround has a very attractive design that is ideal for a period home. The fire is very finely cast and its pretty appearance will provide an abundance of charm and style in a bedroom or smaller reception room.
